Sellers Kitchen Cabinet

The first Hoosier-style cabinet was made by a furniture manufacturing company named Sellers in 1898 in Elwood, Indiana. Between 1898 and 1949 there were several dozen manufacturers of Hoosier-style cabinets. This particular Sellers cabinet consists of a pull-out enamel top,¬†four side drawers, tin lined bread drawer, wood cutting board, a roll-out shelf in the bottom cupboard and a block on the side to support a meat grinder. The top portion has its original flour bin and sugar jar along with top cupboards and a smooth working tambour. This cabinet is in excellent condition and would turn the average kitchen into the so-called¬†“modern kitchen” and were every women’s dream for her home! This cabinet measures 40 1/2 inches wide by 20 1/2 inches deep and we offer it at The Antique Market for $2295.
