American Chest of Drawers

This lovely chest of drawers was brought down to us
from Boston. There are 3 small drawers on top with 2 medium sized
drawers in the middle over 3 larger drawers. This is a fine example
of workmanship from the late 1800s with brass detailing and wood carving
on the backsplash. We

Magnificent Oak Roll Top Desk

This
is a magnificent antique roll top desk made by the Standard Desk Company
between 1890 and 1910. This desk is solid oak with raised panels on
all sides. It is in perfect condition with a working lock and key. This
piece originated in New York City. The Antique Market offers this rare
find for $8995.
Kentucky Plantation Desk
Crafted
in oak, circa late 1800s, this plantation desk is an antique form thought
to have been originally used as a mail desk by overseers on Southern
plantations. The slant top on this example has been fitted with
leveling arms to allow using the desk flat instead of on a slant. 8
drawers and 12 cubbies. This example originates from
Vanceburg, Kentucky. $2195.
Primitive Secretary

With its origins in Michigan, this lovely writing desk features a 2-door
bookcase above the flat-top writing surface. The simple lines of this
piece make it a stunning accent for one's entryway, library or den.
Crafted of poplar and mixed woods, we believe it to be circa early 1900s.
It is 38 inches wide, 63 inches in height, and 22 inches deep. We offer

Wallace Nutting Prints

Measuring 16 by 18 inches, this example of a Wallace Nutting is one of four framed prints
currently offered at The Antique
Market. This one is entitled "Recreation of the Foremothers." It is in its
original matt and frame and is signed by Mr. Nutting. Offered at $225.

tilt-top side table with inlaid sunburst design in center. Early

Antique Welsh Cupboard

The Antique
Market offers this solid oak welsh
cupboard imported from the United Kingdom... The back is crafted
from tongue and groove bead board... Solid brass drop pulls on 3 drawers
and eight panel doors... A full 6 feet in width... Circa 1920s.

Linen Press Originating from Wales, this
exquisite example of craftsmanship from Great Britain would make a unique
entertainment center as the upper section can easily accommodate a plasma
screen TV!. The fine hand cut dovetailing on the drawers and carved
workmanship throughout suggests this oak piece was crafted in the mid to
late 1800s. Contrasting darker walnut banding and carved corbels. $3695.
Governor Winthrop
Secretary Hutch Bookcase

This beautiful secretary dates from 1920's to 1930's and is solid
mahogany. Although Governor Winthrop died in 1649, this secretary has been
associated with his name because of the Winthrop Furniture Company of
Boston. The secretary has 13 individual panes of glass on each door. (Most
people swear by the 13 colony fable.)
It also has the classic 18th Century
split pediment cornice
and is American made. The middle section has 8 document holes, 5 smaller
drawers, 2 secret drawers and one door in the center for storage.
The bottom has 4 drawers with original pulls. It has claw feet on both
front and back of legs. This piece would make a great addition to your
home. This piece is temporarily unavailable.

Early Cigarette Holder
Drunk Over Barrel -- Carved and handpainted in
wood. Coat tails are pressed downward allowing the barrel's lid to
open, revealing cigarettes beneath. Original paint and patina.

General Store Desk and Cabinet
This unusual pine piece was used in the Taylor General
Store in Waldoboro, Maine and originates from the late 1800s. Lots
of cubbies and drawers. The base was not original to the top, but is a
fine match in color and style. The center top drops down and contains a
small desk area. This is an unusual hand made piece for that primitive
space in your home. $975.
Hale & Kilburn Bookcase

The Hale and Kilburn Company of Philadelphia manufactured fine furniture
in the late 1800s to early 1900s after which production ceased. This
lovely mahogany bookcase features adjustable shelves and a decorative
garland design across the top and its original wavy glass. Invest in a
